Thank you so much to all of you who supported me on 19th October 2025 !
It was a bit tough but I managed to complete the Yorkshire Marathon in aid of the Friends of the Sierra Leone Railway Museum (RCN 1179579) in 4 hours and 36 minutes. Luckily, the rain held off until the 25th mile !

If you missed the earlier post about the run, here are the details again….

The Friends of the Sierra Leone National Railway Museum (FoSLNRM) is a UK-based charity that supports the Sierra Leone National Railway Museum (SLNRM) in Freetown. Their primary goal is to assist the SLNRM with fundraising, promoting its activities, and developing its exhibits and educational programs.

As I saw for myself on my visit last year, this includes developing and operating school Railway Heritage Clubs in towns with railway history and working to enable education programs for Freetown schoolchildren.

The SLNRM isn’t just about saving old railway trains. It’s about changing lives and being the engine for growth that Sierra Leone desperately needs.
Any support you can give is greatly appreciated !
